From the Bay Area, Kung Fu Vampire has become one of underground hip hop’s most unique and electrifying performers. Known for his fusion of rap, gothic imagery, and explosive live shows, he’s captivated fans across the globe while pushing creative boundaries in both music and film.
Kung Fu Vampire’s journey began early — he started breakdancing at age five and discovered his lyrical talent at 14 while drumming in his high school jazz band. A clash with a teacher eventually sparked the creation of Kung Fu Vampire in 2001. Just two years later, his debut Blood Bath Beyond CD/DVD laid the foundation, followed by 2009’s Dead Sexy, which was featured in Rolling Stone’s “Top 500 Album Covers.”
His impact extends far beyond the stage. He contributed to E-40’s “Zombie” (2013), appeared on Discovery/Science Channel’s Oddities, and his tracks have been featured in Netflix films such as Tales of Halloween and Mother’s Day. In 2025, his song 1986 will appear in the major motion picture Twisted, directed by Saw franchise legend *Darren Lynn Bousman — who also directed the previous two films that showcased his music.
A true live-performance maestro, Kung Fu Vampire has delivered unforgettable sets everywhere from The Playboy Mansion and the Saw III premiere to Insane Clown Posse’s Gathering of the Juggalos, where he has performed eight times since 2010. He has completed 24 tours across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada since 2009. His albums Look Alive (2016) and Come Dawn (2019) both landed on Billboard’s Top 200 and reached #8 on iTunes Hip-Hop charts, featuring collaborations with Futuristic and X-Raided.
Continuing his momentum, in 2023 Kung Fu Vampire released Black Heart Machine, produced heavily by his drummer Action Paxton, and joined Tech N9ne on his West Coast tour for the second year. 2023, he made his acting debut in Four Hour Layover in Juarez, which went on to win several awards for “Best Action Short.” Expanding his film career further, he is set to appear in upcoming movies Scissors, The Answer Book, and Sock Monster 2.
On the music front, Kung Fu Vampire teamed up with Bukshot to form Double Dragon, releasing their album Big Trouble with Double Dragon in April 2025 just before heading out on Kung Fu Vampire’ solo Tour followed by a supporting tour for ICP sold out tour which included The Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas and House Of Blues in Anaheim.
