Sam was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Growing up, she played field hockey for many years, and represented the USA on the Jr. National Indoor team as a teenager. Sam moved to California for college, earning her B.A. in English from Stanford University. She discovered aerial arts in 2017 and instantly fell in love. Now, Sam prefers spinning in the air to being on the ground. She
